Purpose: Howlong Toy Library provides a quality toy lending service to members of the Howlong community and neighbouring inner regional townships.

Objectives: Our vision is to provide a highly regarded and inclusive community-driven service aimed at enriching family relationships through play. Our social, economic and environmental benefits include:

• supporting families in finding resources for their child’s development

• encouraging families to participate in mindful play together

• promoting positive relationships and community participation

• providing opportunities for social and civic engagement through volunteering

• lessening financial burden on families associated with toy purchasing

• minimising environmental impact by instilling a culture of reducing and reusing

Howlong Toy Library is a not-for-profit community organisation that seeks to provide families with equal opportunity to access a range of safe and educational toys. Parents, grandparents and carers are able to access our collection to borrow toys to suit their children’s current needs and interests for a $25 per annum membership fee.
